It feels like an age has passed since Netflix and Marvel first announced that Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist would all be getting their own series before a big crossover event, yet here we are, the first three down and Danny Rand set to finally make his long-awaited MCU debut.

A lot of groundwork has already been laid down for his arrival, from Daredevil's first season teasing the character and his world through things like the mysterious Madame Gao or the hints at the existence of long-time Iron Fist villain Steel Serpent to Doctor Strange kicking open the door to magic within the MCU. As such, the character is likely going to receive the biggest of the solo Netflix outings yet in terms of scope and action, martial arts and mysticism, especially if it takes viewers along with Danny to K€™un-L€™un or brings to life his crucial battle with the dragon Shou-Lao.

With Finn Jones filling Danny's shoes, Netflix regulars like Claire Temple, Jeri Hogarth, and Madame Gao resurfacing, and another surefire fan favorite in the making with the introduction of Colleen Wing, Iron Fist is our last world-building entree before the dessert that is The Defenders arrives, and his story's potential and what it could mean for that series - and the Netflix corner of the MCU as a whole - means that the impending adventure can't get here any sooner.
