Marvel Cinematic Universe: Ranking Every Upcoming TV Show By Anticipation
6. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Season 4
Release Date: January 10, 2017
This week, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended its Ghost Rider arc in explosive fashion, the character's mysterious, sudden disappearance leaving his eventual reemergence open-ended while paving the way for the next arc's arrival: LMD.
As many fans will attest, the series has only continued to get better and better since the early days of its first season, which saw a lot of wheel-spinning as the show itself waited for the events of The Winter Soldier to finally free it up. Since then, it's gotten crazier, introducing Inhumans, taking its cast to a different planet, and - as of this season - playing with the mystical. And now with AIDA the LMD in the mix, the team fans have come to know and love are going to have a whole new problem to deal with when the show returns from hiatus next month.
So far, a fifth season hasn't been announced, and just in case the back half of the fourth season does turn out to be its final run, hopefully the show can stay as strong as ever and send off its cast and stories in a satisfying way. Whatever happens, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has long since proven its worth and earned its place in the MCU, and the sheer fun of watching these characters do their thing continues to be a rewarding weekly treat.
