8. Speaking Of A Big A**hole...
What was up with that big a** hole? My money’s on it’s being used as some form of travel to Kun Lun (where Iron Fist garnered his monicker) but for the depth and scope that it possessed, it was nothing more than a weird afterthought.
This hole was used as an episode-ending cliffhanger, with Daredevil and Elektra waiting patiently to hear how far it actually travels (at least forty stories) but it is never referenced once afterwards. No one stops to say, ‘Yo, you remember that ridiculously giant hole in the ground? That was some weird s***, right?’.
No matter where you are in the Big Apple, if there is a giant hole in the ground, people tend to notice. If Beyonce’s cellulite gets a two-page spread in some shlocky entertainment magazine then a hole that would go through subways, power lines and the like would not be so easily overlooked. It’s visually impressive but served less purpose than, say, a giant hole in the ground.
