Marvel's Daredevil: 18 Problems With Season 2

7. What's Good, My Ninja?

Daredevil Matt Elektra

As most normal people often do, I love me some ninja. Part of the appeal of Daredevil is that he can be dealing with the type of thugs you’ve probably crossed paths with at the pub and then be fighting a mountain of ninjas the next minute. The character thrives seamlessly within two immensely different worlds and he’s all the more interesting for it.

As the season progresses, it’s hard to shake the feeling that maybe there is such thing as too many ninjas. The fights are a spectacle but the Hand ninjas are the red shirts of the Daredevil world and it’s only men like Nobu who seem to possess any form of threat.

In fact, for some reason, Matt can hold his own against multiple ninja foes, yet when he has to go one-on-one, it’s the most knock-down, dragged out and intense battle yet. I can’t speak math pretty well but I’m fairly certain that the higher the percentage of ninja, the higher the chance they have at defeating an opponent. Yet, in Daredevil, it seems to be the opposite.
