3. What Stories Will We See In 'What If..?'?
Marvel's What If...? series will be debuting on Disney+ in 2021, and is by far the most unique project the MCU has ever undertook. Not only is it an animated series, the first of its kind for Marvel Studios, it will feature at least 25 returning cast members voicing their animated selves.
From the big names of the MCU like Thor, T'Challa, and Thanos, to smaller roles like Arnim Zola and Taserface, 25 characters have been confirmed to return alongside Jeffrey Wright's Watcher. Though just because others haven't been confirmed yet doesn't mean there won't be more.
So what kind of tales are we in for from this series? The fact that Dominic Cooper, Neal McDonough and Stanley Tucci will appear all but confirms a story set around the time of The First Avenger, while Michael B. Jordan and Chadwick Boseman's presence will take us to Wakanda. There will certainly be a story revolving around Scott Lang and Hank Pym, and several based off planet with the Grandmaster and the Ravagers, but what will actually happen in these stories is anyone's guess.
All we really know right now is that these stories could be anything from the history of the MCU that could have happened slightly, or incredibly, differently.
