8. The Show's Head Writers Revealed As The Hunt Is On For Directors

Jeremy Slater is set to serve as Moon Knight's head writer, and after developing and creating Netflix's adaptation of The Umbrella Academy, it's fair to say he's no stranger to the world of comic books.

Of course, he's also credited as a co-writer on the 2015 Fantastic Four reboot, but, in fairness, much of what was in the script didn't really end up on screen after those extensive reshoots. He's even gone on record to describe what his take on Marvel's First Family looked like, so it would be unfair to pin the blame on him for how the disastrous movie turned out.

Further leaning into the theory that Moon Knight will be horror based, however, is the fact that his other credits include Death Note, The Exorcist, and The Lazarus Effect.

The only other confirmed writer is The Originals and The Witcher scribe Beau DeMayo. He's currently working on the screenplay for Netflix's planned animated spinoff of the latter, and he's previously penned episodes of The Vampire Diaries along with a tie-in comic book series. The search for a director, meanwhile, has now begun following yesterday's big casting news.
