Firstly, there had been a number of hints that Angela was heading down a path of darkness throughout the second season, However, for her to actually join the Dark Army and be in cahoots with Tyrell Wellick was a game-changer. After all, she was Elliot's most trustworthy friend and now she was in bed with his greatest foe.
It wasn't a great time for her to join the bad guys either, especially since Elliot had been shot by Tyrell Wellick after he attempted to do the firmware hack. Along with that, iFBI agent, Dominique DiPierro, revealed that she knew everything about fsociety and who they were targeting to Darlene. As finales go, this was truly a game changing episode for the show.
