Netflix's Sex Education: 13 Questions That Must Be Answered In Season 2
8. Will Jackson Continue To Rebel?
Jackson seems like he’s got the perfect life: he’s popular, head boy, and a swimming champion. But things aren’t always as they appear. He reveals that his mothers are likely getting a divorce, and he feels that he‘s the only glue holding them together.
Jackson doesn’t want to live the dream of his overbearing mother and the pressure adds up. He started skipping swim practice and drinking more, ultimately resulting in him having a massive argument with his mother. He also suffers from anxiety and panic attacks.
It seems like his character will continue to rebel in Season 2, especially if he and Maeve don’t sort things out between them after she told him she doesn’t love him. It’s possible Maeve could also go back to Jackson having seen Otis happy with Ola. Hopefully, we'll also see more about how mental illness affects young people.
