Treat Yo’ Self to checking in on the old gang.

Parks And Recreation
NBC

Parks and Recreation had humble beginnings upon debut in 2009. Test screenings had proved negative and critics and audiences ultimately compared it in an unfavourable light to the American version of The Office. Despite fears of cancellation, the show bounced back from its modest start and went on to become one of the most acclaimed and beloved sitcoms of the past 10 years.

5 years after the series’ flash forward heavy finale in 2015, the main cast (bar Paul Schneider of course, returned for a reunion special. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the stars had to shoot the reunion from their respective homes with its success raising $3 million for Feeding America.

In the 5 years between the series’ end and reunion, the stars have all gone to enjoy a diverse range of work. From new TV shows and films to cracks at working behind the scenes and sitting in the director’s chair. Many of the newer stars became household names while other previously well-established performers added greatly to their already impressive resumes.

Let’s take a look at what every main cast member of the modern classic sitcom have been getting up to lately.

12. Billy Eichner

Parks And Recreation
NBC

The outburst prone Craig Middlebrooks enjoyed a brief tenure in the main cast, only being added 4 episodes into season 7 after a recurring role in season 6. Comedian Billy Eichner was best known for hosting the game show Billy on the Street near the start of the 2010s decade. The show follows Eichner on the streets of Manhattan as he quizzes random pedestrians on pop cultural topics. Beginning on the Fuse TV channel, the series jumped over to truTV for its fourth and fifth series. Since then, it has been reformatted into short-form episodes for the Funny or Die website with Eichner hosting to this day.

Eichner’s best known role since Parks and Recreation’s finale is probably Timon in last year’s remake of The Lion King. Eichner received critical acclaim for his humorous performance. Many viewers cited Eichner’s comedic chemistry with Poomba costar Seth Rogen as a highlight of the film.

Eichner later starred in Noelle, a Christmas comedy for the Disney+ streaming service late last year. Portraying the inept Gabriel Kringle, Eichner acted opposite Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader, all of whom were playing relatives of Santa Claus. The film received mixed reviews.

He will portray political commentator Matt Drudge in American Crime Story: Impeachment later this year.
