Parks & Recreation Cast: Where Are They Now?
11. Retta
The Donna Meagle character really came into her own in season 2 before joining the main cast in season 3. Known for her extensive dating history and that time she inadvertently donated money to David Duke, Meagle received acclaim from critics and audiences alike. During one of her stand-up performances, Retta revealed she found the character a stressful experience due to worries about how long the series would last.
Retta was best known for her work as a stand-up comedian before Parks and Recreation but has since moved into further acting work. She has starred in numerous films since the end of the show including Middle School: The Worst Year of My Life, The Lego Ninjago Movie and the controversial Good Boys.
Since 2018, she has portrayed Ruby Hill, 1 of 3 Michigan based, suburban mothers involved in a heist in NBC series, Good Girls. The first season premiered to polarising reviews with many praising the performances of the cast but criticising the plotting. The second season continued to garner acclaim for Retta and the rest of the lead cast with the scripting also receiving more acclaim.
