Parks & Recreation Cast: Where Are They Now?
5. Nick Offerman
The macho, bacon loving, small government enthusiast they call Ron Swanson has become a cult favourite over the years. Nick Offerman’s multi-layered performance greatly humanised the character and he was nominated for various accolades during the series’ run.
Offerman’s next major TV gig was as Karl Weathers, the only lawyer in town, in the second season of the FX series, Fargo. Starting in 2018, Offerman has co-hosted the craft based game show, Making It, with Parks co-star, Amy Poehler.
In 2016, Offerman starred as Richard McDonald, opposite Michael Keaton as Ray Kroc and John Carrol Lynch as brother Maurice McDonald in The Founder, a film about the creation of McDonalds.
Offerman is a professional boat builder and continues to work as a wood craftsman to this day. He has published 3 partially autobiographical books during and after Parks’ run and performed his first stand-up tour in 2017 with a follow-up in 2019. He co-starred with Sonoya Mizuno in Devs, a sci fi thriller miniseries for Hulu earlier this year. The show was well received with critics citing its themes, storytelling and performances as top notch.
