4. Herr Starr And The Cannibals (Vol. 6)
Following the ill-advised, ill-fated nuclear attack Herr Starr's private plane crashed in the middle of nowhere and it seemed he was doomed to die from his injuries. This would have been the case had it not been for the helpful hands of the Chunt brothers who rescue Starr and tend to his wounds, amputating his badly injured leg in the process. However after what seems like a nice act of charity by the inbred brothers, it is quickly revealed that the Chunt's motives are far more sinister and they are in fact a band of cannibals who have already dined on the amputated leg and have designs on a second course. Despite the odds Starr manages to trick the not so clever siblings and even succeeds in killing them. It's always intriguing to see how Starr overcomes each seemingly insurmountable obstacle he faces in his quest and at times you even find yourself rooting for him. These near misses are worth their weight in gold when it comes to the series though as fans who have not yet read the source material will constantly be surprised each time he comes back.
