11. Chris Partlow
Marlo Stanfield's primary enforcer and chief advisor was a calming influence on the impulsive kingpin at times and stands as one of the most proficient killers in all of The Wire. Along with his partner Snoop, Chris was a key figure in the Barksdale turf war, enacting several hits and attacks on Avon and Stringer's operation.
After Marlo's takeover of the Barksdale territory, Chris is trusted with being able to dispose of Stanfield's enemies and general targets successfully without a trace being found. The skill in being able to disappear the bodies so well garnered Chris the nickname the 'Zombie Master' among the younger members of the community.
Chris did not lack empathy, after taking Michael under his wing and showing a clear affection and bond with him, Chris is tasked with killing Michael's abusive stepfather. After discovering he sexually abused Michael at a young age and perhaps having been through a similar experience himself, Chris savagely beats Michael's stepfather to death. The manner in which he kills him is unlike Chris' usual clean murders showing how personally he took the offence.
