Ranking Each Arrowverse Crossover From Worst To Best
2. Crisis on Infinite Earths
Despite not quite living up to its admittedly high and lofty expectations, the climax of the old incarnation of the Arrowverse was a fan-pleasing event that was massive in scale with long-lasting implications regarding the franchise's various worlds, timelines, and characters.
The anti-matter wave has begun its trail of destruction and the multiverse's heroes need to gather together in a last-ditch effort to save all of creation from the Anti-Monitor. The crossover plays like a greatest hits of DC, with cameos from the Burtonverse Batman movies, the Donnerverse Superman franchise, and even the DCEU featuring in some capacity.
It also acts as the culmination of Oliver and Barry's respective stories, with each hero playing a crucial role in stopping the apocalyptic event and the former dying as prophesied in the previous crossover.
Due to the large cast of characters and storylines at play, the crossover occasionally does not have time to breathe as it rushes to its climax. However, this does not stop it from giving us fan-favorite moments such as Oliver's final sacrifice, Brandon Routh suiting up as Superman and the Arrowverse and DCEU Flashes interacting in the Speed Force.
