Ranking Every MCU Show From Worst To Best

4. Luke Cage

MCU TV Shows Ranked
Netflix

Luke Cage was the third of the Marvel Netflix shows to arrive, and it was a series that majestically maintained the high quality set by its predecessors, Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

With Mike Colter in the titular Cage role, audiences finally got to see this true fan favourite comic book character brought to life in live action. Having been introduced in Jessica Jones, that initial glimpse of Cage only added further to the anticipation of the character getting his own Netflix show in 2016.

Clearly Colter brought the character's physique to the table for the Cage role, yet his delivery, inflection and mannerisms also meant that he was an inspired choice to show the intelligence, calmness and sheer coolness of this character.

Much like Colter brought the suave swagger with him to the show's headline act, Luke Cage as a series was different to anything seen in the MCU previously. Putting its attention on the streets of Harlem, the show was about political power plays, everyman ideals, and a superhuman figurehead standing up to lead the charge for his community.

Academy Award nominee Alfre Woodward provided a worthy adversary across the show's two seasons as Mariah Dillard, and the other side of the fence had Simone Missick wowing as the badass Misty Knight.

One major disappointment, though, is just how quickly Mahershala Ali's Cornell 'Cottonmouth' Stokes was killed off. Granted, it added an extra layer to the Dillard character, but the series had one of a truly great villain on its hands with Ali's character.
