Another huge contrast between Moffat and Davies is in their main themes; Moffat's a staunch believer of "Everybody lives", while Davies believes that loss shapes his Doctor as much as his victories. And Davies focussed his series on a more Biblical figure; lonely and powerful, and seeking redemption for ending a war. Moffat's Doctor buries that side of his personality; what's scary about Eleven is how far he could go if you anger him, not what he's done in the past. Another key difference is that the Moff plays with timelines an awful lot more; Davies seems more keen on the spatial aspects - visiting parallel worlds, introducing familiar settings - which draws another nice difference between the two.
