6. What Does Horse’s Parade Mean?

When they have to save each other from death, Alan and Nadia enter separate timelines so the other doesn’t know they’re being saved.

They are seemingly brought back into the same timeline afterwards by walking into a parade led by Horse, the homeless man who appears regularly throughout the season. What does the parade mean?

We’ve seen Horse try to con them both for money and other items, plus he even died during one of Nadia’s resets. But now he’s sporting a papier-mâché deer mask and leading a parade full of people in similar attire?

Is this just typical homeless-person behaviour, or could Horse actually be welcoming Alan and Nadia into some kind of underworld? Is Horse some kind of important afterlife figure such as a God or an Angel? Or worse – is he sided with the Devil?
