Scream: 10 Problems Season 2 Needs To Fix

1. More Audrey

Audrey should be the main character of Scream. No offense to Willa Fitzgerald, who is a fine young actress doing her job with what she's given, but just compare her to Sidney Prescott. There's a strong, interesting, capable, three-dimensional character who totally makes Scream what it is. Emma is a pretty generic high school girl who Sidney would be ashamed of.

On the other hand, Audrey is a downright fantastic character, the best thing to come out of this show by far. Bex Taylor-Klaus totally owns the role, and Audrey is both charismatic and smart while also with her own darkness that can be explored. Simply put, she's a character you care about and want to follow, and the only one whose potential death in the finale elicits any sort of a reaction. It's not that Emma is bad, she's just...there.

The smartest thing Scream could do for Season 2 is totally shift the focus from Emma to Audrey, and it seems like that might actually be the show's plan. The final scene of the finale reveals Audrey was in contact with Piper, leaving open a season focusing on that. This show should treat Emma like Orange is the New Black did Piper in its most recent seasons, drifting away from her to the real star of the show.
