Scream Season 2 Review: 7 Ups & 6 Downs
5. The Mystery Is Genuinely Involving
The mystery aspect feels really strong this season, because while those who pay close attention will probably be able to figure the killer out fairly early on (especially during one particular episode), less-observant viewers will likely find themselves wrapped up in figuring out if the new killer is one of the many fresh faces or somebody we already know.
The show does a fantastic job fielding out countless red herrings to the point that it's hard to know who to trust, and practically everyone is a suspect at least once. Even though the ultimate reveal doesn't live up to all that good work, at least the journey getting there was a lot of fun.
