6. Bruce Banner

As one of the original Avengers, it’s always great to see Bruce Banner return to MCU screens. Aside from the brief cameo in the Shang-Chi post-credits scene, this was the first fans had seen of the Jade Giant since Tony Stark’s funeral in Avengers: Endgame.

Bruce played a key role in the events of the entire series, as it was his blood that turned his cousin into a Hulk as well. He took her through the basics of being a Hulk, almost as a guide to what her new powers were before heading off to Sakaar to meet his son.

However, he didn’t exactly cover himself in glory during his time on the series. Pretty much all he did was lecture Jennifer about how she should live her life, completely disregarding any kind of possibility that her experience might be in any way different from his. He condescended her, and when she threw something further than he did, he just had to prove that he was still stronger.

There was a lot to not like about Bruce in She-Hulk, but at the same time he was there for his cousin, and there was just a little bit of a deeper dive into his grief for Tony, so a real mixed bag for Banner here.
