The Simpsons Guy - 5 Things We Want To See

3. 'Why Are The Simpsons Yellow?'

With the Griffins, depicted as a Caucasian family, set to meet the Simpsons, we'd love it if the question - 'er, why are you guys yellow?' was asked - personally, we'd put our money on the insensitive Peter posing the question. Matt Groening's decision for the Simpsons to have yellow characters was strategic - he reasoned that someone flicking through TV channels would be instantly attracted to his show due to the bright colours, while they would also easily ascertain that the Simpsons was on. Nevertheless, it seems too intriguing an opportunity for the Griffins to notice the difference in 'race' between the two families not to pick up on, and we hope the Simpsons Guy writers deal with the issue, even if it's just in a passing comment. Speaking of race, black characters such as Carl and Cleveland should definitely get a chance to interact with each other, while we hope the fact each family only has four fingers will be referred to as well.
