With Family Guy's season 14 premiere set to host The Simpsons Guy, it seems almost inconceivable that there won't be any cutaway gags, considering cutaway gags are a staple of Family Guy and the spinoff is taking place within their season. Only once has an episode of Family Guy refrained from using cutaway gags - season eight's 'Brian & Stewie' - and if The Simpsons Guy is to utilise them, the very obvious question is, how do the Simpson family come into things? Personally we'd deal with this issue by having Homer and co. looking at each other in bewilderment as the Griffins stare off into space after saying "this is even worse/better than the time..." before then asking "what the hell was that?" It would be a fun way for the two shows to poke fun at each other, as they have done numerous times down the years, and a cheap laugh for the viewers.
