South Park's 10 Most Savage Parody Episodes Ever

2. The News

The news has changed dramatically over the past few years, becoming more concerned with sensationalism and viewing figures, as well as audience manipulation in some cases. Thankfully, it makes for a fantastic South Park episode.

"Quest for Ratings" sees the boys team up to present a school news show, however they just aren't getting the ratings they need to get a passing grade. Meanwhile, Craig's show about puppies is killing it with the viewers. The boys keep coming up with ideas in the hopes of drawing in an audience: Making people feel like they'll die if they don't watch the show, pandas, making stuff up about celebrities, and making Token sound like a white person.

Still, they're getting crushed in the ratings, so they decide to get high on cough medicine so they can hallucinate to help them come up with new ideas. This in turn leads to a ground breaking story about children being sold and getting high on medicine. So, in the end, the boys learn it's not about gimmicks but putting in the work, to produce the best show you can. However, that's really hard to do consistently, so they give up and bail.

Alex Harvey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
