8. 189 - Deanna Troi
Fans could certainly sense that the Enterprise's counsellor would be turning up on this list with her smorgasbord of appearances that rival those of her Imzadi Riker, with whom she appeared in that episode of Enterprise.
Although not in every single episode of TNG, Marina Sirtis' Betazoid Deanna Troi had one of the show's largest character arcs alongside Worf. Coming from rocky origins in Encounter at Farpoint, Sirtis was utilised much more effectively the further the series progressed. Although not a visitor to DS9, Troi would be a key figure in the Pathfinder arc in which Voyager would regain contact with the Alpha Quadrant.
That would also see her reunited with fellow TNG guest Reg Barclay - and fans are still pondering whether he might turn up in Picard
But Troi's tour de force so far may well be her season one appearance in Picard's Nepenthe. Truly exploring Troi as a person, not just a counselor, Sirtis shines stronger than ever as she recounts the events that led the family to their current home while also acting as a friend to the hunted Picard.
