Star Trek: 10 MORE Characters Permanently Displaced In Time

The removal of Star Trek: Prodigy from Paramount Plus throws the future of Chakotay up in the air, for he had yet to return home by the close of the show's first season. The search for Chakotay, and the Protostar, formed much of Admiral Janeway's focus for the latter half of the episodes.

This is fairly unforgivable, as this leaves Chakotay in the same boat as poor Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap. Do we want this character to never leap home, or wouldn't it be a bit better to get a bit of closure?

He traveled, via a wormhole, almost sixty years into the future, only to find himself being hunted by the Vau N'Akat. The one chilling example of this - a hologram depicting Drednok coming through the access portal to the Protostar's bridge - doesn't paint the rosiest of outcomes for this Maquis-turned-Captain.

We remain quietly confident that the show will be picked up and that the second season will air. When this will happen, now that's anyone's guess.
