6. Elnor
You can't just introduce a Space Elf into our lives during Season 1 of Star Trek: Picard and then take him away from us. That's considered cruel and unusual punishment around these parts.
Did Elnor's upbringing with a deadly order of Romulan warrior nuns have some fans scratching their heads? Sure. But he had a sword. And it was cool. And he could do that twirly thing with his robe and hair when he swung it. Totally worth it.
His most endearing quality, though? Speaking with the absolute candour of his order while simultaneously regarding the galaxy and the people in it with wide-eyed wonder. And that was deceptively refreshing against Rios' cynicism, Raffi's struggles and Seven's trauma. We'd go as far as to say that Elnor's presence was crucial in adding some balance to the troubled personalities of Season 1.
And that's why we were left aghast when he was casually killed off in Season 2. Yes, he's restored with the timeline, but that's not the point. It meant we were denied Elnor for the majority of the season, and we're totally on board with Raffi spiralling over it.
But the real insult to injury came when he disappeared entirely for Season 3. We understand they had a lot of returning legends to make room for, but frankly, we'll accept no excuses on this one. Bring Elnor back. We don't care how; just make it so.
