Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Ranking Every Major Character Worst To Best

23. Leeta

Star Trek Leeta
CBS

Leeta is one of the nicest and most upbeat characters on the station. She initially appears as a dabo girl, working in Quark's bar and treating all of the guests to a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Long before she ever truly found the love of her life, she and Dr. Bashir both engaged in, and amicably ended, a short but passionate affair.

Few then could have suspected that her heart would actually belong to Rom!

The ultimate odd couple, they finally professed their love for each other just as Leeta was about to be whisked away by Dr. Lewis Zimmerman. Rom, terrified that the only woman for him was about to leave forever, runs through the corridors of the station, begging her to stay. Not only does she do so, but they are married a few mere episodes later.

In a show as dark as Deep Space Nine, Chase Masterson's Leeta was a bright spot on what could be very cloudy days. Few viewers could fail to watch her interactions with Rom and not feel moved. When she tries to rescue him from the Dominion, only to be arrested by Damar, the first thing that she does on her escape is run to Rom and kiss him.

Though this review may not say much, it also says everything. Leeta was just....she was just nice!
