By far the most prominent piece of fan service, however, belongs to the "Captain Picard Day" banner hanging up in the archive, which was an annual event featured in The Next Generation's season seven episode "The Pegasus."

Captain Picard Day was a day of fun and festivities organised for the ship's schoolchildren, which Picard himself outwardly seemed not to much care for, even if he was quite the fan of it privately.

That's surely evidenced no better than by him having kept the banner all these years despite being away from the Enterprise for so long. Given that the episode itself has likely been long-forgotten by more casual Trek fans, it's a pretty hilarious Easter egg.
