Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Remembrance'
19. "Remember"
The season premiere is named "Remembrance," a not insignificant word in the wider context of Star Trek, made instantly iconic by Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) urging Bones (DeForest Kelley) to "remember" mere moments before sacrificing himself in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
Since then the word has been used in a few other Star Trek episodes: The Next Generation's season four episode "Remember Me," and Voyager's season three episode simply called "Remember."
Though Remembrance certainly has several meanings in this new episode, given that Picard spends much of it reflecting on his legacy, it's also clearly a tip of the hat to one of the greatest moments in Trek history.
