Star Trek Voyager Feature Length Episodes: Ranked

1. Scorpion

Scorpion takes the top spot because, apart from the strength of the episode alone, it was the turning point for the show as a whole. The end of the third season and the beginning the fourth marked a dramatic increase in the quality of the writing and production, as well as the introduction of Seven of Nine, who quickly rose above sex symbol status to become a beloved fan favourite.

The opening teaser is the shortest in Trek history and the shot of the two Cubes exploding was a shock to viewers. Who could do this to the Borg?

Species 8472 were a terrifying and fantastic addition to the series, offering genuine threat. The idea of making a pact with the Borg is seen as reasonable once the true power of these aliens is displayed. With poor Harry Kim suffering in sickbay, the first of many uses of nanoprobes is worked into the plot, already necessitating the drones that take their place on the ship.

The fight in fluidic space, the wonderful score by Jay Chattaway and the brilliant protrayal by Jeri Ryan all serve to make this entry not only the top feature length episode of Voyager, but it also ranks in the top episodes of the show as a whole.

The best scene is almost one of the shortest - the coolest jump to warp shown in Star Trek to date!

This episode ranks top of much of the show and top of this list for sure.
