Star Wars: 10 Things In Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi That Make No Sense

2. The Show Contradicts Key Moments In A New Hope

No matter how much one loves Han Solo, lightsabers, and The Force, Star Wars has always suffered from one serious problem - it has to work around the limitations of its own continuity. Because George Lucas' creation has expanded its lore into comics, books, video games, animated series, TV shows, and movie spin-offs, it's virtually impossible for the story to be flawlessly cohesive.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series proves this point since it conflicts with the original trilogy. In A New Hope, Princess Leia leaves a message in R2-D2, referring to Obi-Wan as a man who "served my father in the Clone Wars".

Based on this phrasing, it sounds like the two have never met. But as has been revealed in the Disney+ series, the two are more than well-acquainted. Considering the pair went on a planet-hopping adventure ten years prior and were chased by Inquisitors, it feels like Leia has no reason to introduce herself, since Obi-Wan knows who she is.

Sadly, there is no way to fix this continuity error, meaning die-hard fans will just to have accept this egregious blunder.
