Star Wars: The Bad Batch - 10 Unresolved Plot Points It Must Answer
4. The Droid Remnants
When Rex returned in Star Wars Rebels, fans got to see the aged veteran attempt to get some much-needed Clone Wars closure.
After a brief skirmish between Rex and the droid General Kalani, Ezra steps in to broker peace. Reluctantly, the clone and droids come to an understanding that they were both used as pawns in a wider game and the new enemy is the Empire.
While the Separatist and Trade Federation leaders were mercilessly cut down by Anakin, the leftover droids were nowhere in sight. With Palpatine cemented as ruler of the galaxy it would make little sense to waste a sizeable army, especially as many systems were not too keen on the Empire's rule.
Even outside sources such as Maul or even the many pirates of the galaxy could easily get their hands on a few B2s or Droidekas with the sheer amount that must have been in production. Either way, seeing the Bad Batch up against some classic clankers would be a welcomed sight.
