Star Wars: The Bad Batch - 8 Ideas It Must Explore

Poor Echo went through quite a lot. After being turned into a cyborg, he ends up being more machine than man. Initially thought to be killed in action, he was rescued in the first arc of Season 7 where he went on to join the Bad Batch, having been changed completely by his time with the Separatists.

There was no dialogue between Rex and Echo regarding Fives’ death, which is something that must be included in the show. His character will want some form of closure on past events that happened during his time away.

As the newcomer to the team, it is possible Echo will take the centre stage in the beginning of the show as we see him settle in to his new role within the team. We may also see him getting used to his new body, and how he uses it to aid on missions.

Echo likely has a lot of trauma and the animated shows haven't shied away from delving into more mature themes, having already delved into Rex's PTSD in Rebels, so this is something that could form a part of Echo's arc in The Bad Batch.
