Star Wars: The Mandalorian's Insane Cast Has Been Revealed
Pedro Pascal leads Jon Favreau's Star Wars TV show, but what about that supporting cast!?
Production has been underway for a little while on The Mandalorian, and now the full cast for the first live-action Star Wars TV show has been revealed - and it's really something.
Confirming previous reports, Game of Thrones and Narcos star Pedro Pascal has been cast in the leading role, playing the lone gunslinger known as The Mandalorian. He's joined by Gina Carano (Deadpool), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), and Omid Abtahi (American Gods).
So far, so good, but it's after those names things start to get really interesting, with the cast rounded out by Carl Weathers (aka Apollo Creed from the Rocky movies), Oscar nominee Nick Nolte (Affliction), and legendary director Werner Herzog (Aguirre, Wrath of God) in a rare acting role. That's one hell of a line-up, and unlike anything you'd expect from a Star Wars TV show (or anything, really).
Favreau is writing and producing the series, with the lineup of directors including Dave Filoni (Star Wars Rebels), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
The Mandalorian is set to debut on Disney Plus when it launches in the U.S (and hopefully other territories) late next year.
