Star Wars TV Show: Everything We Know About The Mandalorian

6. It'll Visit A Desert Planet

Production recently got underway on the TV show, which of course means that we've already had our first round of set photos making their way online.

The leaks come courtesy of Making Star Wars, with the show filming in California, and show off a desert planet. That immediately suggests Tatooine, and there are some similarities between the iconic location and where they're filming, but also enough differences that it can't be completely confirmed.

There's also the chance of going back to Jakku, or somewhere entirely new, but with the series exploring the "outer reaches" of the galaxy - which just so happens to sound a lot like the Outer Rim, where Mandalore and, yes, Tatooine are located - then a return to Luke Skywalker's homeworld makes sense.

It's an evocative location for Star Wars fans, and seeing what has become of it since its last (chronological) appearance in Return of the Jedi would be interesting, while it's also exactly the kind of place you might find a gunslinger.
