Supernatural: 10 Biggest Unanswered Questions
1. How Were Sam And Dean Okay With Killing Innocent Vessels?
We all know Dean’s iconic quote of “saving people, hunting things, the family business”, but it seems that the Winchester brothers themselves forgot about the "saving people" part at times.
Hunting was all about saving and preventing innocents from being harmed by supernatural beings. During the earlier seasons, Sam and Dean always made sure the people they were saving were to be unharmed by the end of the episode, and those who unfortunately died would weigh on their souls greatly, with the brothers feeling they have failed since not everyone was saved.
When Ruby’s demon knife was introduced into the show, the boys started stabbing demons and their hosts without caring if the innocent host would die or not. Of course, when there are multiple demons surrounding and attacking the brothers, it’s near impossible for them to exorcise them all. However, with rouge demons, the brothers could have tried to save the host instead of killing the innocent victim.
Sam and Dean killing innocent people does sort of takes away the purpose of hunting if they are also killing innocents as well as the supernatural.
