9. What Happens To Sam's Son?
Another question regarding Sam's family after hunting, is what happens to Sam's son after Sam died. The Supernatural finale showed Sam living a long and happy life after giving up hunting but doesn't go too deep into the details.
Photos in Sam's house and an anti-demon possession tattoo on his son suggest to fans that Sam did open up to his family about his previous hunting life. However, many are left wondering if Sam ever taught his son how to hunt monsters and if he will carry on the family business. It is noticeable to fans that Sam was a better father to his son than John Winchester was to both Sam and Dean. Sam is shown to be present at every point of his son Dean Jr's life, teaching him mundane things including throwing a baseball with him in the backyard; something the Winchester brothers wished they had with their father.
