9. Jensen Ackles
Jensen Ackles - who portrayed the elder Winchester brother, Dean - got his acting start on an adorable little doggy fantasy show called Wishbone. It wasn't long after that he was a series regular on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, portraying Eric Brady in 115 episodes. Ackles was in a few other teen fantasy shows including Smallville and Jessica Alba's breakout series, Dark Angel.
During his run as Dean Winchester, Ackles also had major roles in the 2009 slasher remake My Bloody Valentine 3D and a few animated Batman films - portraying Jason Todd in 2010's Under the Red Hood and eventually getting his shot as Bruce Wayne, himself, in The Long Halloween.
Since the series ended Ackles has been tagged to reprise his role as Dean in the voice-over narration for the Supernatural prequel as well as portraying Soldier Boy in the upcoming third season of the super-hero (villain?) themed series, The Boys. Unlike the innocently ambitious young superhero who tries to use sex to take control of the villainous Seven - the series' version of the Justice League - Ackles' version of Soldier Boy is more like a super evil Captain America. With some of the stuff Dean did in Supernatural, I don't think a villain 'worse than homelander' will be too difficult for Ackles to handle.
