Supernatural: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
8. Season Ten
Season ten shows Dean at his most complex and conflicted. Bearing the Mark of Cain, the demon hunter spent several episodes overcome with rage and battling to keep his real personality in check. This emotional clash led to some affecting moments between Dean and his brother, and sees Jensen Ackles give perhaps his best performance on the show.
Season ten also features the bizarre musical episode "Fan Fiction," which sees the brothers come face-to-face with a school hosting a play about their lives.
As fun as this is, the true strength of Supernatural's tenth season is the relationship between Sam and Dean, which even after 200 episodes still finds a way to be engaging, unpredictable and moving. Their relationship in this season helps keep the show grounded, balancing the standard and increasingly bonkers monster-of-the-week formula with moments of real drama.
