The Chris Gethard Show: 15 Greatest Moments

Chris Gethard brings on fellow public access darling Jake Fogelnest for a show that takes its own fans to task and judges its callers. Every person to call in receives a relatively detailed critique of their own phone-based abilities. The "winner" of this competition receives a prop from a past episode known as "The D*ck Skirt," which will be explained in a later entry. 

TCGS often puts out episodes that are exercises in hostility. Some can be off-putting, while some can be endearing. Watching Fogelnest fight random teenagers over the phone ranks in some of the show's most captivating moments. Very few late night shows have the gall to criticize its own viewers AND walk away as likable, but this show pulls it off. 

The strength of the callers should not go unmentioned. Everyone who calls in is either reliably engaging or reliably hostile. Additionally, the final joke of the episode is so ridiculous yet in line with the show's sensibilities that its strength alone puts the episode on the list. I don't want to ruin it, please believe that it is stupidly solid.
