The Defenders: 8 Major New Reveals From Marvel And Netflix

4. The Fallout From Jessica Jones; Are We Going To Meet Hellcat?

While Jessica Jones may have wrapped up with the death of Kilgrave, the show won't be moving on from the ramifications of the time she spent under his control, as both Melissa Rosenberg and Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb were quick to point out. "One of the things that we absolutely know is that all of the things that have happened to her aren't going to magically go away. The end of the series -- and it was one of the things that was very important when we talked about the end of the first series -- was that it wasn't, 'Ooh, I triumphed and now I can get in my hovercar and join the Avengers.' That wasn't the story we were interested in telling." That's great news, especially as it was obviously such a massive part of the first season. Meanwhile, another plot thread which also looks set to continue in some form is the romance between Jessica and Luke Cage, though no one offered any specifics in regards to when and where that will be (Rosenberg was also unsure of how much of an impact the events of Captain America: Civil War will have on their season two plans). While she may not be getting her own series, Rachael Taylor had a tease of her own for fans when she mentioned the possibility of Trish Walker suiting up as Hellcat in season two. "It would be amazing! It€™s already a privilege to play a history that has so much lineage within the Marvel universe and to take it that one step further, is something that, yeah€ I€™d love to get my teeth stuck into whatever happens to the character."
