The Flash: 10 Biggest Questions We Have For Season 6

2. How Will The Reverse-Flash Play Into The Crisis?

The Flash Questions
The CW

It's no coincidence that the very events which shifted the Crisis from 2024 to 2019 were set in motion by the Reverse-Flash. The Season 1 Big Bad has always had a vendetta against the Scarlet Speedster and, from the very first episode, it was clear that he would play a vital role in the game-changing events of 2024.

The infamous newspaper told us that Barry would end up vanishing while in the midst of an epic showdown with his archenemy in which the skies would turn red, so even though Thawne was erased in the Season 1 finale, we knew that he would inevitably return - which he has done on multiple occasions.

Now that he's on the loose again, fans can't help but wonder if he's the one responsible for all of the madness that is about ensue and, if you think about it, that's actually quite a plausible conclusion to draw. Despite knowing that that the Crisis is coming, he has never once seemed perturbed by it and, if anything, he revelled in the thought of being a part of The Flash's demise.

"See you at our next Crisis," he muttered to Barry in the finale and, in doing so, he once again had all of Team Flash (and viewers) in the palm of his hand. Whatever goes down, you can rest assured that he will be involved and, knowing Thawne, he's going to have a much bigger role than any of us initially expected him to.

He always wins, Flash.
