The Flash Season 2: 10 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit

4. Joe West Is The Star Of A Soap Opera

DC shows that air on The CW are going to have romance story lines, it's just how things are. I'm okay with romance in my superhero shows and for a lot of people, the romantic subplots are actually the reason they watch in the first place. But if we were to draw a line in the sand, Joe West and his family have clearly crossed it with their shenanigans. Not only was his wife pretend dead because of a bad drug problem she had, but he also has a secret son that his pretend dead drug addict wife kept secret from him until oh gosh! Now she's dying from a disease and needs to let her secret child live with Joe, which he didn't know about until almost the most recent episode because his daughter was keeping everything a secret from him. Romance in between scenes of GO FAST we can deal with, but that previous sentence might as well have been from an episode of Days of our Lives.
