The Flash Season 2: 7 New Villains You Need To Know About
3. Vandal Savage
Vandal Savage has already been confirmed as the primary antagonist for the Arrow/Flash spin-off show DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which will be along in early 2016, but before then he'll be popping up in the crossover episodes of both of those series, just to cause a bit of trouble in the DC Television Universe (DCTVU?). Savage has been around a long time in the DC world, having made his debut back in 1944, and no one has been able to get rid of him yet. That's probably due to the fact that he's an immortal who has lived for thousands of years, with the network's description reading that he has "spent the past 6,000 years moving like a virulent disease through history, whispering in the ears of despots and dictators, all leading to his eventual domination of the world." It certainly sounds as though he'll be one hell of an enemy for the respective superhero teams he comes up against, with Brandon Routh (who plays Atom) saying that he's the most dangerous villain any of the heroes have come up against. Savage will be played by Casper Crump, who with a name like that was pretty much destined for the comic-book world.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
