The Flash Season 3: 12 Things You Need To Know

2. New Villains

Mirror Master
DC Comics

Flashpoint or not, there’s a whole host of new villains for The Flash and Co. to tangle with in Season 3. And not just any foes, for some of these new additions are some of the Scarlet Speedster’s most (in)famous rogues.

Grey Damon as Mirror Master, in particular, is one new face that instantly captures the imagination of many comic book fans, with that no-good sort being one of The Flash’s longest-standing villains. Unfortunately, the series’ take on Mirror Master won’t actually have the rogue’s famed mirror gun, but he will still be able to manipulate reflective surfaces and create his own portals thanks to his powers being meta-human-based.

Then there’s another longtime favourite in The Top, with Ashely Rickards to play a female take on this longtime Flash foe that can spin to such a speed that he/she increases their own intelligence and even creates psionic abilities.

In addition to this, there’s Joey King as the troubled metal-controlling meta-human Magenta, and Todd Lasance will be playing a take on The Rival. In comic book lore, The Rival is a villainous, err, rival of Jay Garrick’s. In The CW world, however, he’ll be positioned as a rogue of Wally West’s Kid Flash.

Of course, these roguish new additions are merely the side dish to the bigger hitters of Season 3…
