The Flash Season 3: 12 Things You Need To Know
11. Happy Families
The greatest tragedy of Barry Allen’s life is the death of his mother. The night that she was murdered was the night that Barry’s life was forever changed; his father would be locked up for her murder, and Barry would be left without either of his parents.
Now that the Sultan of Speed has gone back in time to save his dear ol’ mom, expect to see Nora and Henry Allen playing happy families and having lived a content and regular life in perfect harmony when we see them in the present day.
Of course, this perfect family unit should, and hopefully will, be used to make the decision of Barry to ultimately go back in time to stop himself from saving his mother even harder and more impactful when the initial burst of ‘Flashpoint’ comes to an end after the season’s first five episodes.
After all, all Barry has yearned for is his mother to be alive, his father to not be in prison, and for the Allens to be a truly happy family unit. We all know he’s going to have to eventually give this ideal up in order to reset the timeline, and that act in itself should be one of the most emotional parts of the entire season if handled correctly.
