The Flash Season 3: 7 Easter Eggs & References You Might've Missed In 'Paradox'

Though it's sad that the post-Flashpoint Cisco is in mourning over his brother, on the upside he has moved forward with his ascent into superheroism quicker than the previous Cisco. This is definitely a good thing, as it is something fans have wanted for a long time. It’s just a bit of a shame that it had to come at the expense of happy Cisco.

Nonetheless, it was an awesome moment when he finally joined Barry in the field to help him take down The Rival. The glasses and gloves he wears in this scene recall those worn by his evil Earth-2 doppelganger Reverb. The glasses actually are his, a memento from their trip to the other Earth, but the gauntlets that emit sonic vibes are new to this Cisco. Both are a nod to the superhero from the comics known as – all together now – Vibe.

Cisco’s brother Dante we have, of course, met before. Though he managed to live through being kidnapped by Captain Cold (an event that is referenced here) and an attack by his own doppelganger Rupture, he eventually died in this timeline in an incident with a drunk driver.
