Quests play a significant role in The Last Kingdom. Uhtred always seeks to prove himself by overcoming various obstacles. Although the show is rooted in fact rather than fiction it would be interesting to see Uhtred and his band of brothers attempt to find a 'magic' weapon or religious relic as the show has previously explored elements of the supernatural and Viking mythology before.
