The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Major New Reveals From EW's Feature And Stills
1. George Lucas' Input
Much has been made of George Lucas' visits to the set of The Mandalorian, and Disney+ series Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian revealed that he offered some input into what ended up on screen, while remaining hands-off from a creative standpoint.
The site mentions in passing that he returned to watch Filoni direct the action (confirming that he's also helmed at least one episode of season two), though it seems his well-known direction for actors to go "faster" and "more intense" also factored into his advice for his former protégé.
He would be giving Dave a hard time about how many setups he was getting and how fast he was shooting and urging him to go faster," Favreau laughs. "He was like a boxer's corner man coaching him, but always with a twinkle in his eye."
With any luck, footage of that was captured during the making of season two, and it would be pretty rad if Lucas was one day enlisted to return to Star Wars to direct an episode of The Mandalorian...
