The Office Cast: Where Are They Now?
2. Ellie Kemper
Another late arrival to The Office, Erin Hannon was a refreshingly weird character who was unfortunately stymied towards the end of the show by being thrust into love triangle after love triangle, with diminishing returns. Through all that, though, Ellie Kemper shone as one of the most naturally gifted comic actors at the show’s disposal.
In The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Kemper may have found the best post-Office TV work out of any cast member. She plays the titular role, a young woman who was abducted as a teen and must readjust to the world 15 years later. The Netflix sitcom, one of the best in recent memory, is hugely popular with fans and critics alike, and nabbed Kemper two well deserved Emmy nominations for her work.
On the big screen Kemper has lent her distinctive vocals to The Secret Life of Pets, The Lego Batman Movie, and Smurfs: The Lost Village. She is set to appear alongside Drew Barrymore in The Stand-In, and to co-star in the probably ill advised Home Alone reboot for Disney+.
Kemper also released positively received memoir My Squirrel Days in 2018.
